The History Of Pain Checker

How did Pain Checker begin? The history of Pain Checker starts in 1996 when a revolutionary discovery was made.

In 1996, Research and Development Personnel for the Crystal Textile Group were trying to develop a new fabric for use as a surgical drape. To do this they combined two different carbon yarns, with the goal of achieving superior static control.

However, during the testing period, a product tester accidentally hit his elbow and moved to cup it with the hand holding this new fabric. The pain was gone immediately, returning whenever the fabric was removed. It was a startling discovery and, just like that, Pain Checker was born!

After this discovery was made, the Research and Development Personnel for the Crystal Textile Group knew they had something incredible on their hands. During the next four years, this fabric's pain-relieving properties would continue to be tested and proved useful by the team.

Throughout the years of testing the group began to make prototype bands and braces for body parts that commonly experience muscle and joint pain. These initial prototypes would include an elbow brace, knee brace, wrist brace, head brace, and back brace. The development of a compression sock and ankle brace soon followed to address foot and ankle pain.

Of all the patients surveyed during this testing phase, 80% reported back with experiences of pain relief. A great success!

Today, Pain Checker continues to create products that work to address people's pain.

In fact, Pain Checker has earned some incredible endorsements during its lifetime. Head trainer for the New York Jets, David Price, has submitted letters of endorsement for its use as an adjunctive therapy in both 2003 and 2007, as well as Dr. Ken Faust. There was also a clinical trial for Pain Checker published in the Journal of the American Podiatric Medical Association in 2008.
